Cupid la Falaise

Heimat Atlantica is a Galician accessories brand. Its products reflect the endless variety of crafts from the Iberian Peninsula, and celebrate the work of craftswomen who perpetuate local traditions and ancestral techniques.

Driven by a taste for “collage”, its founder, Montserrat Alvarez, doesn’t hesitate to combine different know-how for a one-of-a-kind accessory collection. Indeed, its baskets mix woven rustic reeds with leather fabric finish and ceramic talismans, real ornaments which give to those baskets a unique and luxurious touch.

For one of Heimat Atlantica iconic model, I designed a new collection of talismans that embody the brand’s mythologies: love, nature, luck. This set is composed by a clover, a seahorse and a flower.

When I was designing them I had a romantic fisherman in mind who would have gleaned them from the tides to decorate his basket. Embroidered to the reed, these  metallic “gri-gri” comes alive and shines as the owner of the bag moves.

The talismans are made of metal and come in various finishes. Some of them have poly-mirror effect which embodies the sparkle of sun set at the surface of the water. While others are made with paint gradation finish which remains us the iridescence of certain aquatic specimens.

Cupid la Falaise bags are available in 6 colours (cowhide, sky blue, navy, red, pink, green) and in two different sizes (large and mini). They are limited editions.
