Pompom Glass is a decorative glass representing a floating and dancing pompoms and ribbons.
Bernard Pictet Sudio realises very sophisticated hand-made glasses for the industry as well as for interior design architecture. This master piece pays tribute to the “maestria” of the Studio know-how and to the purest quality of their glasses. Pompoms are chiselled and the ribbons are engraved.
Glass has been reworked to give a un-even relief to the pompom whereas ribbons are smooth and fluid.
To convey this weightlessness feeling, we chose extra white glass with the purest transparency. Overall ribbons and pompoms seem to dance in the air. The purity of the glass create conveys an ambiguity where graphical elements mingle with the background.
